Senior graphic designer and Adobe Creative Suite specialist. Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing within brand standards established for Private Client Services, appropriate use of color palettes, maintaining superlative typographical standards and layout specifications, including extensive PhotoShop editing of in-house Wells Fargo historical images. Extensive image manipulation includes applying custom clipping paths, collage assemblage and detailed shadow work to adhere to the standards and guidelines established for Private Client Services materials. Photo research, image selection and purchase of chosen images from various stock photo agencies. Supervision of other designers in the layout and rendering of assorted collateral and marketing materials. Training of other designers and performance of press checks.

Daily responsibilities included technical illustrations of electronic cable parts/tools, photography scans and custom photo clipping, product package design and labeling, monthly sales newsletter, display graphics for trade shows and logo design for product-specific launches.

Spring 1999 – Fall 2001

Art Director for multiple companies, specializing in logo design, annual reports, brochures, newspaper/trade magazine ads, package design, billboards, screen-printed apparel/decals, and miscellaneous graphic art projects. Created, maintained and executed design concepts throughout all phases of each project. All creative graphics and illustrations hand-designed. Supervised graphic design staff to include freelance photographers and designers. Acted as liaison/coordinator between clients, printers and sign makers. Graphic Designer, Sangamon, Inc., Taylorville, IL

Production artist/designer for in-house corporate greeting card division, specializing in the design and production of greeting cards, envelopes, labels, seasonal gift packaging (wrapping paper, bows/ribbons). Created general to complicated mechanical layout of greeting cards to include black/white illustrations, creative typography, intricate die tracings for foiling, thermography, embossing, and die-cutting by hand. Lead Graphic Designer on all point-of-purchase collateral for K-Mart and Wal-Mart department stores, to include strip signs, danglers, racks, end-cap signs and displays. Communicated directly with color separators, printers, editorial and marketing staff and production schedulers. Responsibilities included maintaining production schedule/timeline and proofreading.
